Glitch is a famous specialty coffee shop and roaster in Tokyo, Japan who is dedicated to serving the top of the top of specialty pour over style coffee with “carefully selected single origin beans from Jimbocho, where the Japanese historical coffee culture belongs”.
I was tasked to research and develop an interactive and immersive pop-up event concept derived from our bespoke packaging design while envisioning real-world consumer engagement.
The immersive pop up event takes you through parts of Japanese coffee culture. You can experience a listening bar that pays homage to 1920s jazz kissatens and a fun twist with the iconic coffee vending machines and gaccha toys that signify the modern side of Japan coffee culture.
Project brief and mentorship provided by one of George P. Johnson’s creative directors.
