Attention Overload! is about the post events of The Great Thai Cave Rescue, when a youth soccer team and their coach were rescued from a flooded cave in Thailand, where they were stuck in there for 18 days. This grand story was on the media’s radar since the rescue began, as a race broke out to own the soccer team’s story and life rights, overwhelming the boys right after the traumatizing event.

After the youth soccer team and their coach were rescued from a flooded cave in Thailand, this grand story was on the media’s radar since the rescue began and race broke out to own the soccer team’s story and life rights, overwhelming the boys right after the traumatizing event.

I chose to design the editorial with the feeling of being overwhelmed, with a sense of urgency, to match the pressure of crowds and paparazzi the young boys went through after their traumatic incident. The editorial spreads uses a bright, bold red to signify how much energy and danger that occurred during and after the event. The ragged red borders throughout also resemble the cave the team was trapped in.
